ABOUT

During my studies my main interest has been focused on branding and human centred design. Throughout my time at university I have found myself learning more and more about what it takes to be a designer and enjoyed every aspect of it. Learning and developing skills such as sketching initial ideas, under going independent research to creating final concepts using software such as the Adobe Suite and Solidworks.

My main interest in product design throughout the course has been learning about people. The idea that I can design something which can help somebodies live improve, even if it is a small amount gives me a huge amount of gratification. Being able to put myself if other peoples shoes and understand a small section of their lives is something I really enjoy and want to do as my life progresses. Learning about how to undergo research alongside my A-level in Psychology has made this one of my real strengths.

At the top of the page under the tab "Projects" you will be able to see some of the work I have produced since I have been at university. These projects have aided my progression through the course and have helped me to understand what it takes to work in the industry. From doing projects for the disabled consumers to a simple mass maunfactured product I feel like I can take anything in my stride with the skills i have learnt and obtained throughout my studies.

If you have any questions or enquiries please feel free to contact me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

DESIGN INTERNSHIP (FEB-MAY 2016)

During my internship at Quick Play Sport I gained valuable industry experience. It allowed my design skill set to improve in a short amount of time and led me on to become a more well-rounded designer. During my internship I was involved in many different task such as prototyping, conceptual design, marketing for award winning products and designing CAD models ready for manufacture.

The internship allowed me to improve in my areas of weaknesses. I spent a lot of my time designing and creating prototypes that allowed us to test out theories and explain ideas to one another. I also learnt what it is like to work under pressure in a busy enivronment.

I felt this experience has allowed me to become a more versatile person and designer. The skills I have learnt has given me confidence in my own work and has allowed me to see where I still need to improve in the future.
